21 Days Mera Peak Climbing & Amphu Labcha Pass Overview

Trip to Mera Peak Climbing and Amphu Labcha Pass, we climb one of the most fascinating hiking trails in Nepal. Anyone who visits the upper Himalayas can visit Mera Peak (6,461 m / 21,190 ft) and enjoy the most beautiful views of the Himalayas. Our 21-day trip also includes a fascinating journey through the remote Himalayan region and the Amphu Labcha pass. Located on the edge of the famous Khumbu region, it is dominated by mountains. Mount Everest, climbing the Meera is an opportunity for all explorers. In addition, there are breathtaking views of Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, and other Himalayan peaks. The special Himalayas at high altitudes pass through the challenging passage from Amphu Laptsa in the Himalayas to the peaks of Mera and the island.

Mera and Island are two famous mountain peaks in the Himalayas. Mera, the Peak of the island rise, along with the spectacular high channel and challenging Amphu Lapcha make this expedition very special, so you have the most demanding experience of hiking and climbing in Nepal. Himalayan Adventure Nepal specializes in this maximum expedition of Mera and Island, allowing each participant to properly adapt to two peaks over 6,000 meters and cross a less challenging Amphu Lapcha pass and walk through Hinku. The remote valley and Imja tse in the Everest region: a great opportunity not to be missed in the Himalayas. Climb the peaks of Mera and the Island of the Himalayas through the challenging passage of Amphu laptsa.

Mera spectacular peak as high as 6460 meters, offers an excellent stimulus to the peaks of the Himalayas – an introductory mountain time to top, it is never steep enough to make people feel terrible, but very exciting. The height of the island of 6189 meters, and although small height, but slightly higher technical requirements and a degree of exposure, so you can try rose of Mera Peak and Amphu Laptsa if you have climbing skills. The landscape of these two peaks is simply stunning. We organize special climbing courses at the Base Camp to ensure that you can safely and safely climb the two mountain peaks of the Himalayas. The Amphu Labtsa Pass requires a technical climbing ability to travel safely through it, but our rock climbing guides and support teams will provide you ropes to descend from the top of the rock. In this way, all members of the expedition can descend safely. Our support team is also repairing the ropes from the top of the Amphu Laptsa Pass to the compact blue glaciers of Base Camp.

We spend two nights in Kathmandu, inspecting all the expeditions and exploring the cultural attractions, then took an exciting flight to Lukla and start climbing Mera Island through the Amphu Laptsa Pass. We travel along the conventional Mera Pick route, through rhododendron forests and leafy pines, through Tangnang range Mera base camp, and in the upper part of the valley there are Hinku uninhabited mountainous areas. After the summit of Mera Peak, we explore the less-used routes to Makalu base camp and the Hinku Valley desert. We are in the Seto Pokhari camp, a sacred lake of more than 5,000 meters, located under the magnificent walls of Chamlang – Lhotse and Mount Everest, which occupies the horizon. Our next challenge was to cross the difficult channel of Amphu Labtsa, which was 5,700 meters high, and to stumble upon a strong technical fall on the way to Base Island Peak Camp. The panoramic view of the mountaintop is absolutely wonderful and will remain in your memory forever.

Finally, we walk to Lukla through the Thyangboche Monastery. We stay in a local tea house and walk from Island Peak to Lukla, so you can enjoy the cozy restaurant and sleep in a comfortable bed after spending many nights at the tent camp. We hope our participants have a lot of outdoor adventure skills on this island and Mera and Amphu Laptsa expedition and with good hiking and trekking experience. Previous experience in rock climbing is recommended, but it is not mandatory, as we will train you to complete all the climbing techniques necessary in the base camp.

We head to the yak pastures in this incredibly remote valley. Throughout the morning, the huge flank of Chamlang occupies our left side, and Baruntse’s needle enters the distance. The terrain is very temperate, especially considering that we are actually going directly to the epicenter of the highest mountain in the world. We start to go to Namche Bazaar after breakfast. We arrive at a scattered settlement of Bibre and crossed a bridge in Imja Khola. Our trails pass through beautiful villages, pastures, through several bridges, and then to Namche Bazaar. The Dingboche trail has an incredible view. We will spend the night in Namche Bazaar. Meals included: breakfast lunch dinner.

Today we start walking on the rocky terrain towards Namche Bazaar. Most of the trails along the Dudh Koshi River are downhill trails. We went through several suspension bridges, passed through several monasteries and villages, and then we arrived at Lukla. After arriving in Lukla, we will rest for the rest of the day, because today will be our last day on the mountain. We will spend the night in Lukla. Meals included: breakfast lunch dinner.
