Lower Dolpo & Lake Phoksumdo Trek – Trip Overview<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Lower Dolpo and the Phoksumdo Lake hiking is a wonderful journey through spectacular remote villages, rural areas, and valleys, with wonderful views of Dolpo and Tibet mountain peaks. The entire route included in the remote cultural destination in Nepal, on the old caravan route through the Himalayas, the former Bon-Po (prebudist) traditional village culture, snow leopard trails, Wild West on the peaks of alpine background in Nepal, calm Forest and the original lake is the main features of the area.\u00a0This will be the remote Himalayan region trails.<\/p>\n

This is Located in the Himalayas of Nepal, the northern border of Tibet (China,) Dolpo and Shey Phoksundo National Park. The area is composed of Eric Valli in his Oscar-nominated film 1999 in the Himalayas or caravan promotion, which establishes caravan of real yaks fall Dolpo mountains and the local form of the tribal peoples of life. It also retains the roots and traditions and religious makes Bang Bao Buddhist Tibet, which is still in practice today.<\/p>\n

    Day 05:<\/strong> Trek to Tarakot (2,850m\/9,348ft), 5-6 hrs walk<\/p>\n

    Day 06:<\/strong> Trek to Khani Gaon (2,543m\/8,341ft), 5-6 hrs walk<\/p>\n

    Day 07:<\/strong> Trek to Tarap Khola (3,450m\/11,316ft), 4-5 hrs walk<\/p>\n

    Day 08:<\/strong> Trek to Yak Kharka (3800m\/12,464ft), 4-5 hrs walk<\/p>\n

    Day 09:<\/strong> Trek to Dho Tarap (4,090m\/13,415ft), 5-6 hrs walk<\/p>\n

    Day 10:<\/strong> Rest Day at Dho Tarap for acclimatization<\/p>\n

    Day 11:<\/strong> Trek to Tokyu Gaun 5-6 hrs walk<\/p>\n

    Day 12:<\/strong> Trek to Numa La<\/p>\n

    Day 13:<\/strong> Cross Numa La (5,190m\/17,023ft), and camp at Phedi<\/p>\n

    Day 14:<\/strong> Cross Baga La (5,070m\/16,630ft) and camp on the other side of the Phedi (4,470m\/14,662ft)<\/p>\n

    Day 15:<\/strong> Trek to Ringmo (3,600m\/11,808ft), 6-7 hrs walk<\/p>\n

    Day 16:<\/strong> Rest Day at Ringmo for a hike to Phoksundo Lake<\/p>\n

    Day 17:<\/strong> Trek to chepka(2260m\/7412ft)<\/p>\n

    Day 18:<\/strong> Trek to Jhupal<\/p>\n

    Day 19:<\/strong> One reserve day for flight plan<\/p>\n

    Day 20:<\/strong> Fly to Kathmandu via Nepaljung<\/p>\n

    Accommodations<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

    We will be staying at\u00a03-star hotels in Pokhara and Kathmandu and teahouses during the trek. All accommodations are on a twin-shared basis. And Single supplement will be served on request and will have an additional cost. We will have rooms with attached washrooms in most parts of the trek but according to place it can be afforded. In higher elevations, single rooms are not available like in Kathmandu and the lower elevation regions but Mountain Expedition Nepal<\/strong> will do our best for your happiness.<\/p>\n

    Meals<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

    All meals will be served during hiking, while Kathmandu and Pokhara only offer breakfast. The hotel will also offer a welcome and farewell dinner. The most common dishes on most menus are Nepalese, Tibetan, Indian and the most common Continental.<\/p>\n

    Can I accomplish this trek?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

    Trekking in Dolpo region is a spectacular trip which is a moderate and suitable for trekkers who can walk at least 6-7 hours a day with a light backpack. You do not have any technical skill except your perfect physical health.\u00a0 To accomplish this trek you need to have basic good health However, it is always best to start jogging and exercising regularly at least a month before commencing the actual trek.     Best Time to Travel<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

    Autumn (Sept. to Nov.) and spring (March to May) are the best seasons for this trek. If you have some other time than this we can customize and make the trip viable.<\/p>\n
