Can I accomplish this trek?
Though Island Peak is not so technical and more challenging you still need more stamina, however having some knowledge of using climbing equipment will still be an asset. There will also be pre-ice climbing training for participants in the Island Peak base camp. The training will mostly be about using climbing gears such as ropes, ice picks, harnesses, and crampons.
There are two dimensions for the Island Peak climbing. Normally you need 5-6 hours of walking every day. On the summiting day, however, you will be required to walk for up to 10-12 hours. Everest Mountain Expedition Nepal advises you to prepare yourself by jogging 12 km every day for around 3 months before you start your trip. Your pre-existing medical conditions are very important such as heart, lung, and blood diseases to consult your doctor before taking the trip and you need to inform us before booking.
Best Time to Travel

Rebecca Wheller (Virginia,USA ) –
The wonder of the expedition, the face of adventure and Worth of climbing, diary of life.
The stunning beauty of the largest mountains and strong trekking tour that I have ever made in my life. My sincere gratitude goes on my guide Pemba Sherpa, Professional and has a very good experience with mountaineering.
I have sent my email to Kiran, my first and main contact at the Mountain Expedition Nepal office in Kathmandu. I have done a thousand different follow-up emails asking her questions to make sure the climbing was the right one for me, I was very impressed with the communication and effort made to explain all the details without any hesitation. The care and security I found were really spellbound, the team took very good care of me and made sure I was comfortable at all times including prior and post completing the trek/climb. My trekking guide Janak was an amazing leader to myself and the others in my group and was very caring to our needs and made sure we were as comfortable as possible At all times. The way how he has organized all the requirements and support was highly reliable and effective. He was eager to explain as much as possible about the villages and places we visited making our trek more worthwhile and valuable to our experience. He always addresses our desire as he found a good time for rest and was very hospitable throughout enjoyable each day.
