You’ll lodge in 3-star hotels in Kathmandu (2 nights) and Pokhara (1 night), and experience authentic local hospitality in teahouses during the trek (10 nights). All accommodations are based on a twin-shared basis. A single room supplement will be available upon request for an additional charge. Mountain Expedition Nepal will organize rooms with private bathrooms where available, though teahouses in some higher-altitude locations may offer shared facilities. We prioritize your comfort and well-being throughout this incredible Himalayan trekking experience.

For Meals, all meals (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) are provided during your trek. In Kathmandu, only breakfast is included, along with a special welcome and farewell dinner. Our diverse menus offer authentic Nepalese cuisine and popular international dishes (Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Indian, etc.). Breakfast and dinner will be served at your teahouse, while lunch will be enjoyed en route to your next destination.

Can You Accomplish the Round Annapurna Circuit Trek? Fitness & Preparation

The Round Annapurna Trek via Jomsom is a highly demanding trek, suitable for passionate walkers who can comfortably walk at least 5-6 hours a day with a light rucksack. Trekkers should be prepared both physically and mentally, as some days may require walking 8 to 9 hours. Trekking at higher altitudes is more physically demanding; however, with good health, average physical fitness, a positive attitude, self-confidence, and strong determination, this trek is achievable. We highly recommend starting a regular exercise and jogging regimen at least a month before embarking on the trek to enhance your strength and stability. While past hiking experience is preferred, no technical climbing skills are required. It is crucial to consult with your doctor before booking this trek. Participants with pre-existing medical conditions (e.g., heart, lung, or blood disease) should inform Mountain Expedition Nepal prior to booking.

Welcome to the land of the Himalayas! Upon arrival at the international airport, a representative of the will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. After a break, we will have a brief team meeting. After completing the orientation, you can explore nearby places. In the evening, you will dine at the authentic Nepalese restaurant.

Altitude: 1100 meters / 3608 feet Hiking Time: 8-10 hours of walking Accommodation: Tea House Food: breakfast, lunch and dinner We start wonderful walk and head to the city of Besisahar (seat of the Lamjung district). From here, we move to another car and continue driving through the villages of Bulbule, Ngadi and Khudi. The scenic path continues through the rice terraces to Syange for the night.

Altitude: 1,960 m / 6,430 feet Walking time: 7 – 8 hours Accommodation: Tea House Food: breakfast, lunch and dinner We start our trek from Syange and leave the Marshyangdi River to reach Jagat Village. After Jagat, the trail leads through the forest area to the winding Chamje road. On the way, we enjoyed the breathtaking views of Annapurna and Manaslu Himalayas. After a few hours of walking, we arrived at the village of Dharapani to spend the night.

Altitude: 2,710 m / 8,891 feet Walking time: 5 – 6 hours Accommodation: Tea House Food: breakfast, lunch and dinner After Dharpani, we will continue through the rhododendrons and pine forests. We will pass through some interesting Buddhist cultural villages such as Bagachap, Danque and Timang. After a few hours of walking, the trail will lead to Koto and then head to the city of Chame for the night

Altitude: 3,300 meters / 10824 feet Walking time: 5 – 6 hours Accommodation: Tea House Food: breakfast, lunch and dinner Today, this path continues through the deep forest and extends into the narrow, deep valley. After that, we crossed the bridge and crossed the river. From this point of view, we can see the high rock Paungda Danda. We continue on a hike and reach the village of Pisang at night.

Altitude: 3,500 m / 11,482 feet Walking time: 6 – 7 hours Accommodation: Tea House Food: breakfast, lunch and dinner From Pisang, there are two alternative routes from the north and south of the Marsyangdi River. We will take one of the routes to get to Munji. On the way, we will see different areas of various crops. This large Tibetan settlement offers spectacular views of the Annapurna, Gangapurna and Terkekang peaks. From Munji, we continue walking through the hidden Bryanga Valley and finally we reach Manang at night.

To adapt to the environment, we stayed in Manang. High travel and lack of sleep are the best ways to avoid altitude sickness. Adapting to the environment is very important when you make a short trip to Round Annapurna. In an adapted environment, we will explore the Manang valley. We will walk to Khangsar where we will appreciate the beauty of the whole valley. We will also visit Bhojo Gompa and Gangapurna Lake. After exploring the Manang Valley, we will return to the teahouse at night.

Altitude: 4,110 m / 13,484 feet Hiking hours: 3 – 4 hours Accommodation: Tea House Food: breakfast, lunch and dinner The road from Manang to Yak Kharka continues behind the Marshyangdi valley. This road is steep. First, we will arrive at the ancient mountain. From Ghunsang, we will see several Mani walls of Thorung Khola. Before Yak Kharka, we will pass through a suspension bridge and then ascend. Once we reach Yak Kharka, we will marvel at the scenery of Annapurna III, Gangapurna and Tilicho. I stayed at the teahouse in Yak Kharka during the night

Altitude: 4420 meters / 14,501 feet Walking time: 3-4 hours Accommodation: Tea House Food: breakfast, lunch and dinner Today we start walking from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi. Throughout Thorong Khola, the walk is gradually increasing. After crossing the suspension bridge, we will arrive at Thorong Phedi. On the way, we will get the best view of the majestic peaks of the Annapurna Himalayas.

Altitude: Thorong La (5416 m / 17764 ft) and Muktinath (3,800 / 12,467 ft) Hours of walking: 7 to 8 hours of walking, 1 hour by car Accommodation: Tea House Food: breakfast, lunch and dinner In the morning, we will walk towards Muktinath by Thorong La Pass. In fact, the Thorong La Pass is located between Manang and Mustang. The first merchants used this route, and now hikers have made the transition from Manang to Mustang. We will also follow the same route from Thorong Phedi to Muktinath. Several colorful prayer and chorten flags welcome us to the pass. Once you reach the pass, we will have incredible views of the mountains, including Annapurna, Gangapurna and Khatung Kang. After enjoying the breathtaking scenery, we continue to the Muktinath Temple. The Muktinath temple is an important pilgrimage destination for Hindus and Buddhists. After a tour of the Muktinath temple, we will return to Jomsom to spend the night.

So now, we are at the other side of the Thorong La Pass, most of the land we see will be dry and looks somewhat like the desert. We will continue our trek walking by the bank of Kali Gandaki River. Most of the time, we will descend with closer view of stupas and old traditional houses and civilization of Mustang. Jomsom is the home to the legendary apple orchids. We will be able to taste the apples and the myriad apple products like pies and wine. Apple Brandy is another local specialty that we may be lucky enough to taste en route. Overnight at a guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

After breakfast at your hotel drive with pvehicle (which arrange our trek leader/guide) through Kali Gandaki river to Pokhara by bumpy road with spectacular scenery of Mt. Tukukuche, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Nilgiri as crossing several different small village.

You can walk around the city and enjoy shopping. At night, you can join the farewell dinner where you can appreciate all the wonderful moments of the short trip to Round Annapurna. We will spend the night in Kathmandu.

The last day in Nepal. It is time to say goodbye. A representative from HAN will take you to the international airport.
