16 Days Bhutan Mongar & Trashigang Tour Overview

Mongar (1,700 m) is the seat of the same district, but it is the stop between Bumthang and Trashigang. The tourist hotel offers basic facilities with magnificent views and beautiful gardens. Monge is also the first city in the mountains that is on a hillside instead of a valley.

Trashigang (1,150 m) is the largest urban center in the mountains after Thimphu. As the administrative and economic center of the most populated region of Bhutan, Trashigang is known for its work in wood and weaving. Trashigang also has an impressive ancestor, the city bears his name. Built between 1656 and 1659, with views of the Gamri River 400 meters below, its name is appropriately called “Fortress of the Luck Mountain”.

You can fly to Paro from Bangkok, New Delhi, Kathmandu, Dhaka and other places. We recommend that you fly from Bangkok because Drucker Airlines offers daily flights from Bangkok – Paro – Bangkok, while Drucker Airlines does not operate daily flights from other industries. • The flight from Paro to the national airline of Bhutan, Druk Air, is an appropriate introduction to the spectacular beauty of the country. When the weather is fine, when it lands, the breathtaking views of the highest peaks in the world will give way to the lush green valley of Paro. When you leave the plane, the first gift from Bhutan will be fresh and fresh air. After customs clearance and visa control, you will drive to Thimphu, the modern capital of Bhutan. Today we will travel to Wangdue. The trip takes approximately 3 hours. Stop at the Dochula Pass, try tea and cookies, and admire the hundreds of prayer flags and beautiful mountain stupas in the eastern Himalayas. We enjoyed a panoramic walk and stopped to have lunch in Lobesa. We are now staying at the hotel in Wangdue. Relax in your room and admire the pristine views. Later we visited Punakha Dzong. This is the winter residence of the spiritual leader of Bhutan, Chief Abbot and Central Monastery. Dzong was built between two rivers known as Phochu (Mahe) and Mochu (female river). Punakha walks towards Chhi-Med Lhakhang in the picturesque valley of Lobesa and visits one of the most important saints of Bhutan, the sacred madman Lama Drukpa Kunley. Overnight at the hotel.

After lunch, we head to Gangtey in Phobjikha, a glacial valley on the western slope of the National Park of Montenegro. The valley is the designated protected area and borders the National Park of Montenegro. Due to the large number of black-necked cranes in the winter (from the end of October to the end of March), it is one of the most important wildlife sanctuaries in the country, and the Phobjikha valley is surrounded by beautiful pine-covered mountains. . On the way, look for the nocturnal red pandas that sleep on the trees during the day. In the center of the valley, which rises sharply from a hill, is located in Gantey Gompa, one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries in Bhutan. Gantey Tulmp Rinpoche is the lama chief of Gantey Gompa, the ninth incarnation of Terton Pemalingpa, a famous 14th-century treasure of Bumthang, one of the famous Buddhist saints in Bhutan and the ruler Wangchuk. Enjoy the morning trip again and admire the spectacular black-necked crane. Then we went to the village of Trongsa. The journey from Phobjikha to Trongsa takes about two and a half hours. Our route passes through Pele La (11,155 feet) and is marked with a chorten and a series of prayer flags. If the weather is fine, we should see the mountains. Jumolhari (23,684 feet) and other peaks in the canal mark the western border of the Midwest of Bhutan and the Jigme Singye Wangchuck National Park. Beyond Pele La is the valley of Longte, where people raise sheep and yaks. We will go to Rukubji Valley Village, where there is a great school and Gompa.

In the morning we visit the historic Jakar Dzong, built in 1646, built by MinjurTenpa, the third Druk Desi (rule of time). In 1683 AD, it was extended by Gyalse Tenzin Rabgay of the fourth Desi. Visit several ancient and sacred monasteries such as Jambay Lhakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang, Kencho Sum Lhakhang, Tamshing Lhakhang and Jakar Dzong. Return to the hotel for lunch and in the afternoon we will go to the Thangbi Monastery, an 18th century temple. Afternoon: visit the local farm and enjoy the hospitality of Bhutan. After breakfast, head to Mongar for a wonderful trip. This trip is long and stretches across Thrumshing La, the highest pass at 3,800 meters. Check in at the hotel / hotel. After breakfast, drive to Khaling. On the way, visit the only university in Bhutan and the sacred Zangtokpelri Sherubtse monastery. We returned to Bumthang today and started driving west. We enjoyed many places along our route and observed opportunities to take pictures and local yak herds. Overnight at the hotel.

From Bumthang, we went to Wangdue. Stop for lunch in the city of Trongsa and then arrive at our hotel in Wangdue. Tonight we will visit the Wangdi Dzong courtyard, the most impressive Dzong is strategically inhabited at the top of the mountain. Tonight you may hear the sound of a jackal in the nearby hills. Leave Wangdue and enjoy leisure activities in Thimphu. Go through the Qualcomm along the route to enjoy tea and snacks. Arrive at Thimphu and stay at your hotel.
