Gorkha Heritage Trek takes to the mesmerizing Gorkha region located at the central western part of the scenic and culturally diverse country Nepal. The Gorkha Heritage Trek gives a full view of the warm and welcoming Gurung people and their fascinating culture.

Gorkha Heritage trek leads to the robust and eventful Gorkha Bazar from the capital city, Kathmandu. The Gorkha Bazar leads to the Gurung Village Barpak to give a picturesque view of the Gurung community performing their daily rituals. The dense heritage of the Gurung community consisting of their captivating shrines and their awe-inspiring beliefs can be witnessed on the way towards their village. Apart from intermingling with the culturally sturdy Gurung community, the Gorkha Heritage Trek also displays a panoramic view of the high standing snowcapped and gigantic mountains such as Annapurna, Machhapuchhare, Fungi Himal, Manaslu, Himal Chuli, Peak 29, Buddha Himal, and more. The Gorkha Heritage Trek eventually ends at the Baseri Village from Laprak & Gumda.

from there, following Chepe Khola, up to Tatipokhari (around 3 hours), where you spend the first night.

Here accomodation is provided either in the Guesthouse of Amppipal Hospital or as homestay with

Nepalese families in the villages Amppipal and Harmi. A visit of the Hospital

is possible. Hiking up to the top of Ligligkot is especially recommended: the

view from up there is just wonderful. And hear the history of the place from your Nepalese family!

opportunity to visit the old king‘s palace and the museum. An option is to go on by car or bus to Bandipur with its gorgeous view of the Annapurna Range and its tourist ressorts.

  • Standard twin-sharing accommodation in a three-star hotel in Kathmandu including breakfast (3 nights).
  • Guesthouse accommodation during the trek in mostly twin-share and occasionally dormitory-style rooms (7 nights).

  • Local English-speaking trekking guide having licensed. An experienced, English-speaking and government-licensed trek leader and assistant trek leader (6 trekkers: 1 assistant guide)

  • Lunch and dinner in Kathmandu. Depending on your budget, it may cost about USD 15 to USD 20 per person.
  • Travel Insurance (compulsory!), which covers emergency high-altitude rescue and evacuation
  • International airfare and airport departure tax
  • Nepal entry visa – You can obtain the visa easily upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu (Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 15 days can be obtained by paying USD 25 or equivalent foreign currency. Similarly, Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 30 days and 90 days can be obtained by paying USD 40 and 100 respectively. Please bring 2 copies of passport size photos.)
  • Alcoholic, hot and cold drinks.

  • Tips for trekking staff and driver (tipping is expected).
  • Any others expenses that are not mentioned in the ‘Price Includes’ section.
  • Any extra night accommodation in Kathmandu because of early arrival, late departure, and early return from the mountain (due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary plan

Departure Dates
  • We have daily departures for this trip from March to May and from mid-September to mid-December. You can type in the number of passengers to book a reservation and select a date that is convenient for you. Due to group size, we never cancel a trip once you’ve made a reservation. If you would rather join the group, we will add more travelers on the selected date. You can let us know once you make a reservation or earlier.

Accommodations

We will be staying at 3 star hotels in Pokhara and Kathmandu and teahouses during the langtang trek. All accommodations are on twin-shared basis. And Single supplement will be served on request and will have additional cost. We will have rooms with attached washrooms in most parts of the trek but according to place it can be afforded. In higher elevations single rooms are not available like in Kathmandu and the lower elevation regions but Mountain Expedition Nepal will do our best for your happiness.

Meals

All meals will be served during hiking, while Kathmandu and Pokhara only offer breakfast. The hotel will also offer welcome and farewell dinner. The most common dishes on most menus are Nepalese, Tibetan, Indian and the most common Continental.

Can I accomplish this trek?

Langtang Valley Trek 12 days is spectacular trip which is a moderate and suitable for trekkers who can walk at least 6-7 hours a day with a light backpack. You do not have any technical skill except your perfect physical health.  To accomplish this trek you need to have basic good health However, it is always best to start jogging and exercising regularly at least a month before commencing the actual trek. Best Time to Travel

Autumn (Sept. to Nov.) and spring (March to May) are the best seasons for this trek. If you have some other time than this we can customize and make the trip viable.
